Notes:
Watershed managers should address all these key issues on non-stormwater discharges. One of the first priorities for a watershed manager is to conduct a quick inventory of the nature and extent of non-stormwater discharges in the subwatershed. If non-stormwater discharges appear to be a problem, a watershed manager may need to conduct a subwatershed survey. This usually involves a survey of the largest or most common wastewater discharges within the subwatershed, with a strong emphasis on how wastewater is actually conveyed within the subwatershed (i.e. sanitary sewer, septic systems, etc.).
